About Us

Our Men’s Shed is a larger version of the traditional men's garden shed — a place where you can feel at home while enjoying practical, hands-on activities.

We offer a purpose-built space with excellent facilities, tools, and machinery, giving members the freedom to work on their own projects or get involved in a wide range of community initiatives. There’s no pressure and no deadlines — you can work at your own pace, or simply come along for a chat in a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment.

Above all, the Shed is about friendship, social connection, and feeling part of something. Add in tea and biscuits, and it’s easy to see why people love it.

Our Mission

Men often find it harder to build social connections and talk openly about their health and wellbeing, which can lead to isolation and loneliness.

Men’s Sheds exist to change that. We provide a friendly, welcoming space where men can meet others, share skills, talk without judgement, and feel a sense of purpose and belonging. By bringing men together, we help reduce loneliness, support better mental health, and strengthen our community.

Our Facilities

Our purpose-built facility was made possible through a combination of our own hard work, generous donations, a range of grant schemes, and a successful Lottery bid. This collective effort reflects the strong community support behind the Shed and the commitment of our members.

Fundraising and project work continue to play an important role in sustaining the Shed, allowing us not only to keep the doors open but to continually improve the facilities, equipment, and services we offer. This ensures the Shed remains a welcoming, supportive space where members can connect, learn new skills, and feel a sense of purpose for years to come.

Our Set Up

Church Crookham and Fleet Men’s Shed is run by its members, and we believe this is what makes it special. Taking ownership brings a real sense of fulfilment and achievement, helping to build confidence, connection, and long-term sustainability for the future of the Shed.

There is no pressure to get involved — members can do as much or as little as they choose. The Shed supports a wide range of community projects, working with charities, not-for-profit organisations, schools, nurseries, and occasionally individuals. Projects are self-managed by members, from design through to delivery, offering the chance to learn new skills, share experience, or simply keep your hand in.
