We want to hear from you so that we can introduce you to the fantastic facilities and benefits of being involved at Church Crookham and Fleet Men's Shed.

Our men’s shed is a larger version of the typical man’s shed in the garden: a place where you can feel at home and pursue practical interests. Our shed offers the facilities to pursue your own projects or if you are feeling community spirited, get involved in one of our many community projects, all in our purpose built shed. We have some amazing machinery and equipment, and our members also share the tools and resources they need to work on any project. There is no pressure, you can work at your own pace or if you just want some conversation you will be in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment.

More importantly it's forging friendships, it's social interaction and it's drinking tea and eating biscuits. What's not to like?

Our Mission
Men typically find it more difficult to build social connections than women outside the working environment. Generally men rarely share personal concerns about health and personal worries, often becoming depressed and insular. We want to make a change, to give men a voice, and every opportunity to forge new relationships.
​
Sheds are about meeting like-minded people and having someone to share your worries with. They are about having fun, sharing skills and knowledge with like-minded people, and gaining a renewed sense of purpose and belonging. As a by-product of all of that, locally we want to reduce isolation and feelings of loneliness, allowing men to deal with mental health challenges more easily and remain independent.

We believe our Men’s Sheds is vital for our community in so many ways.
We believe all men can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change their wellbeing.
Our Set Up
Church Crookham and Fleet Men's Shed is run by its members. We want it this way as it brings about stronger feelings of fulfilment and achievement in our members. We believe this will lead to better sustainability, ensuring the future of the Shed.

There is no pressure to get involved; you can do as much or as little as you like. The Shed undertakes community projects helping various other charities, non-profit organisations, schools, nurseries, and in some cases individuals. Our members self manage the projects from design to delivery. It's a great opportuity to learn new skills from other members or to simply keep your hand in.
Our Facilities
Our purpose built facility was funded through a mixture of our work, donations, various grant schemes and a successful Big Lottery bid. Work continues to fund our Shed and to continue to improve the facilities and services that we can offer to our members.
